“What are “Dark Posts” Vs “Boosted Posts”?
Boosted posts are permanent posts on your business timeline that get a boost with ad spend and remain on what we used to call your wall. Dark posts are sponsored ads created on the “backend” or the business manager.
Advantages of Running Dark Posts through the BM:
✅ Advanced Targeting
✅ Detailed Segmentation
✅ A/B Testing
✅ Dynamic Creative
✅ Overall Campaign Control

What’s up guys Seb here on a beautiful Santa Monica office. Uh, quick note today about, uh, dark posts, what are dark posts? They are basically that go in on the backend and they only displayed to you on your feed and the sponsored post, um, while a boosted post is going to remain on somebody’s timeline on centrally on a business’s wall. Um, the main deck, this is going to be that a boosted post is probably the least effective way to create an ad because in a dark post sponsored ad, you get to use the backend and you’re gonna to get a lot more detailed in terms of targeting ads, segmentation, AB testing, and overall campaign control. So definitely go with the dark posts on the sponsored ads and ditch the boosted posts till next time.
