✅ get your fans to hit the “save” or “bookmark” button
✅ get your fans to hit the share “paper airplane” button
Question is, how do you get them to do so?! Peep the video or read the article on the link above to learn about 4 ways to achieve this and beat the new IG algorithm!

Hey, what’s up guys Seb here in Santa Monica. It’s a beautiful day. So I’m working outside the clouds look a little sketchy, but it’s actually a really nice, and I just finished writing an article about the new Instagram algorithm, because I get so many requests and questions and insults about the new Instagram algorithm that it sucks F the new algorithm. It doesn’t really work anymore. My patients don’t get shown to people. They don’t show up on people’s feeds. I never make the explore page. And I just posted something on LinkedIn. Great article about four hacks about how to beat the new Instagram algorithm. Now, there were two major metrics that Instagram is now really taking into account to push your content, um, up into more people’s feeds right now, for example, have you noticed that when people like get engaged or something like that, they get a ton of likes and comments and engagement, and it gets shown to a ton of people.
Now, the reason for that is because it’s such an important moment in somebody’s life, right? That a lot of people feel compelled like really compelled to engage. And so what they do is they do, they comment a ton on that photo. They share it with other people, and that causes the algorithm to kick into gear and put it into more people’s feeds. Now, that’s not going to be the case for most people for most businesses all the time. So it’s just really giving you an example, but then two new major metrics are going to be shares and saves. Saves are the little bookmark on the bottom, right of your screen and shares his little paper airplane, right? So when you share it with somebody or you bookmark it, it’s not going to show in the actual posts. You don’t see that all you’re seeing is the likes and the comments, even though the likes are going to be going away very soon, but the saves and the shares that you don’t see on the feed is what the Instagram algorithm is kicking into gear and actually pushing it into more people’s feeds.
And ideally, ideally an explore page. So four great tips here that I wrote about, uh, how to get more saves than how to get more shares, tip number one, make people laugh, whether it’s a meme or a funny video or something really just funny in general, people are very likely to share it with people. They’re going to comment on it. And they’re very likely to save just to check it out later and get a laugh later. Uh, tip number two is educate with infographics and Bo graphics is like the ultimate type of like graphic for Instagram because it’s visual, but it’s also educational. So if I’m scrolling through, I see a really cool infographic. It’s got a ton of information on it. It’s got numbers, it’s got colors. And I just think that it’s got something of value for me. I’m going to hit save so that I can go back to my bookmarks and check it out later.
Tip number three, try writing more meaningful, um, captions in general, longer copy. Now in general, I would say write short copy to the point, but for some people, for a lot of personal brands, this applies writing long, meaningful copy. If it’s something that’s really valuable and really kind of, kind of raw and comes from the heart, very many people, if they see that and they can connect with it, they’re actually going to hit save on that and bookmark it and come back to it later. Um, and tip number four, quotes, tips, or hacks quotes have been around forever hacks like one, three, you know, how to something or tips for this, this and that. Those kinds of things are going to get shared because people are gonna just want to share it with them, friends and family, and it gets saved because they want to come back to it later when they want to read about that tip or that hack, maybe it’s a recipe or something like that.
They see it on their feed at work, but they want to come back to it later at night when they’re cooking. So then they hit save. So just remember two new, huge metrics are saves and share. So if you’re creating content with that, you know, intention behind it for people to actually hit, save or share, the algorithm is going to push your posts more into people’s feeds and ideally the Holy grail of Instagram into the explore page. So that’s it for today, guys. I hope you guys get out there and create some Epic content until next time. Peace.
