What’s up guys Seb here in Santa Monica, first as usual in the office, which I love. And today I want to give you a little piece of advice on a content hack. What I mean by that is something that came up yesterday, uh, with a new potential client that reached out to me. It’s got this great product. It’s got great branding on the product and he wants to go all out and get it exposed to the world of Facebook and Instagram ads. He’s got a budget he wants to get, do Google ad words. He wants to do maybe YouTube pre-roll ads, all kinds of things, right. He’s ready to go. He’s got the product, he’s got the packaging, he’s got the money. He wants to go all out. Truth is it doesn’t only have content, right? Without content. There’s not really much we can do in terms of putting it out to the world.
Right? So this is what we talked about. And I’ve talked about this before. He’s proponent on this, and we are all lucky that we live in today’s world, that we can do this and carry out this content hack that I’m about to talk to you about. So let’s say that you’ve got some money. You still probably do like a half day photo shoot or a full day. If you can get some video, get some photos, uh, you can even get some friends as models to use the product where the product, whatever that may be. But besides that set aside a number of units of your product, whether that’s 50 or a hundred or a thousand or 20, whatever it is, depending on the cost, you know, of what it is that you’re selling and get it out to a bunch of people out there in the community, in this specific community that your product relates to.
And it doesn’t even have to be influencers. It can just be people with 500 followers, a thousand followers, 1500, whatever that may be and give them the freedom to create the content that they want to create. There’ll be stoked that you gave them this gift. They’re going to feel personally indebted to you in the sense of like, sure, of course I’ll create some content game is awesome, new product. Sure. I’ll, you know, get creative on my own and give you some of that content so that you can use. And all of a sudden, you’re going to have 50, a hundred, a thousand or more pieces of content, whether that’s photos or video that you can now use on your social media, you can use on your website. You can now serve as ads and voila. You got some free content, well, quote unquote free. It’s not really free because you’re giving out the product, but it’s still worth a million dollars compared to what it would be in terms of production value, to get all those different people and all those different creatives to combine into all that fresh new content for you or new product.
