This was an awesome question from one of my clients who sells in 9 countries and can’t sell at the moment. Although she can’t sell, she understands just how important it is to continue marketing during this time.

What’s up guys Seb here. I hope you and your families are staying healthy and safe. I wanted to share with you a great client question from yesterday home office. Oh, this question was great. Now mind you, they sell to nine different countries, nine different countries. And she said, Sebastian, how can we market when we can’t sell right now? We know we have to market. We have to continue marketing because we want to be there at the end of this. And we have to be there stronger than ever. So how can we market when we can’t sell the simple one word answer to that is branding. Marketing is what your company says about your product or service branding is what others say about your company, brand product or service. Think about that from a personal standpoint from you as a human marketing is what you say about yourself.
Branding is what your friends and your family say about you. Now, what can you do to control what others say about you? That’s through your actions, through your values, through what you stand for right now, what you show, what you stand for your values may not always coincide with what others think about you, but that’s a deeper issue, right? You can only do your best. It’s the same thing for a company or brand. This is the time for branding. So when you can do for marketing is you’re going to be branding through your marketing, showing those true colors, showing your brand values, right? What do you stand for? If your company never stood for anything and only sold, sold, sold, then this is the time to rethink that rethink about building purpose into your brand, because that’s what people are going to remember through these times when you cannot sell. So while building your brand today through your marketing is going to make you come out at the end of this stronger than ever.
